Co-Founder, Principal - London and New York
Kenneth is an accomplished West End actor, writer, director, producer and a co-founder and the Principal of AMTA. He has just finished directing the UK Tour of Godspell. West End credits include THE PRODUCERS, RAGTIME, SWEET CHARITY, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE & 125th STREET. Kenneth also performed in THE SINGING TEACHER which he co-wrote with Mark Goldthorp which had its premiere in London 2014. He is the mastermind behind what makes the classes at AMTA so special.
Co-Founder, Head of the Acting Programme - London and New York
Christie is a co-founder of AMTA and is an experienced Actor and Director in her own right. She has over thirty years experience of performance and has produced shows and tours both in the UK and North America. She recently Assistant Directed the UK revival of Godspell.
Vice Principal, Head of the One-Year Musical Theatre Programme - London
Mark has recently been cast as Sheldrake in the upcoming English National Opera production of SUNSET BOULEVARD starring Glenn Close at the London Coliseum. Prior to this Mark performed in the European Premiere of SEE WHAT I WANNA SEE by Tony Award winning composer Michael John La Chiusa in London's West End. His other numerous West End and touring credits include playing in MATILDA (Doctor/Escapologist), AVENUE Q (Nicky/Trekkie), the 25th Anniversary Concert of LES MISERABLE at the 02, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, INTO THE WOODS, LES MISERABLES, WOMAN IN WHITE and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. He recently premiered his new play, ALL THINGS NICE in London. Mark also performed in THE SINGING TEACHER, which he co-wrote with Kenneth Avery-Clark and had its premiere in London in 2014.
New York Associate Head; Chair of Voice Division, Song Repertoire Class Instructor - New York
Stephen Purdy is the Associate Head of the Musical Theatre Academy of New York, and is the founder and principal coach at the New York Vocal Coaching Studio. His students have been cast in the Broadway and touring companies of nearly every major Broadway musical of the last 15 years (including THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, LES MISERABLES, WICKED, KINKY BOOTS, BILLY ELLIOT, MAMMA MIA, IN THE HEIGHTS, HAIRSPRAY, THE LION KING, and many others) and are singing on concert stages worldwide. As a guest artist/instructor, he has taught extensively both nationally and internationally, most notably in China, Korea, and throughout Europe. He is active as a coach and musical director annually for The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, Camp Broadway, and The National High School Musical Theatre Awards. He is the vocal instructor for the very popular “Dancer’s Voice” series in New York taught in tandem with casting personnel from Broadway’s leading casting offices including Telsey and Company, Duncan Stewart, Tara Rubin, and others. Prior to his work as a teacher and coach, Stephen conducted and played for the Broadway and touring companies of many popular Broadway and off-Broadway musicals including THE FULL MONTY, PETER PAN (Cathy Rigby), THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, FRANKENSTEIN (Cast Album), and THE FANTASTICKS. He spent five years in Europe with 42nd STREET, A CHORUS LINE, and GREASE, including a year in Paris. American regional theatre credits include five years as resident Musical Director at Ogunquit, Westchester Broadway Theatre (19 shows), Alliance (Atlanta), Arena Stage, Helen Hayes, The York, Sacramento Music Circus, North Shore, Kansas City Starlight, Playwright’s Horizons. Stephen is the author of 'Musical Theatre Song: Selection, Preparation and Presentation for the Modern Performer' to be published and released by Bloomsbury in February 2016. His wife Kendall is an actress and fellow voice pedagogue, and they have two young sons, Caden and Rowan.

Tenor Luis Garcia graduated from the Guildhall School and has performed all over the world. He is passionate about vocal training and is presently completing his PHD. Luis' students have been cast in many west end shows including Wicked, Book of Mormon and many more. He is head of singing for our musical theatre classes in London
Senior Acting Tutor - London
Richard trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. His theatre work includes Benedict Andrews’ critically acclaimed production of THREE SISTERS at the Young Vic, the New York production of FARM BOY, THE TEMPEST for the Oxford Shakespeare Company, TAMBURLAINE and EDWARD II – the inaugural productions at the recently unearthed Rose Theatre on Bankside. His film work includes NARCOPOLIS (T-Squared Film), the multi- award winning ZEBRA CROSSING (Crown Films), THE BASELINE (Finelight Films), SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER (Sky Arts) and STARDUST (Paramount and MARV Pictures). Richard also has extensive television experience with the BBC.

West End credits include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Woman in White, Shrek and Les Miserables. Alice is a sought after session singer and appeared in the film version of Les Miserables.
Dance Tutor - London
Stephane trained at Laine Performing Arts. His theatre credits include: THE PRODUCERS as Carmen Ghia (UK Tour), SINGIN' IN THE RAIN as Cosmo Brown (Palace Theatre and UK Tour), RAGTIME as Harry Houdini (Regents Park), A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM as Mustard Seed (Regents Park), LEGALLY BLONDE as Nicos/Padamadan (Savoy Theatre). Stephane has had regular teaching positions at Laine Theatre Arts, Tiffany’s School of Performing Arts, D and B Performing Arts, Bodywork Performing Arts, PP Academy and AMTA. Classes taught include Jazz, Jazz double work, Audition Technique, Musical Theatre, Repetoire, Body Conditioning, Free Tap, Boys work. Stephane has also choregraphed and directed pieces and sections for showcases at Tiffany’s School of Performing Arts, D and B Perfroming Arts, Bodywork Performing Arts.
Private Vocal Coach - London
Michael has both an ATCL and LTCL Diploma in Vocal Teaching with Trinity College London. His students include cast members from the West End production of Phantom of the Opera and the touring company of GHOST. As a performer he has performed throughout the UK and Spain, most notably for the British Royal Family in the Palace of Westminster.
Ballet Tutor - London
Trained at the Royal Ballet School, Glen Snowden has danced extensively with ballet companies in Europe, North America and South East Asia. Recent choreographic engagements include The Bacchae for Thiasos Theatre Company performed in the amphitheatres of Pafos and Limassol (Cyprus); La Cenerentola and The Love For Three Oranges for English Pocket Opera;The Saint of Bleecker Street for Trinity College of Music; teaching historical dance in Tokyo plus a recent ballet, Von Ewiger Liebe to music by Johannes Brahms. Glen works also at Drama Centre London where he is Ballet Master and also teaches social and historical dance. Future choreographic engagements include a ballet to Bach cantatas.

Kirsty has worked extensively in Theatre and Light Opera. Her West End Credits include BETTY BLUE EYES, GONE WITH THE WIND, and LES MISÉRABLES. Recent television work includes CALL THE MIDWIFE and a new three part Drama starring Michael Palin called REMEMBER ME.
Speech & Dialect Tutor - London
Caryll Ziegler worked in all aspects of the media before joining Joan Littlewood’s company at the Theatre Royal Stratford East, then in the West End with Miriam Karlin and Barbara Windsor. Biddy Espinosa asked her to formulate the Voice Department for the London Studio Centre. As Co-Founder and Principal of ALRA, she joined the Webber Douglas Academy and latterly became Head of Vocal Studies. As speech tutor, Caryll has coached at RADA, LAMDA, Rutger’s (Globe Educational) and LDA, Fordham Center, London. Among others, those coached by Caryll include Stockard Channing, Minnie Driver, Matthew Goode, Julia Ormond and Laura Michelle Kelly.
Boot Camp Instructor - London
Tony is a graduate of AMTA and is currently working as an actor, musician and composer. He knows just what kind of shape students need to be in to get the most out of their physique. He is a personal trainer and has served as a soldier for 12 years, first in the Army then the Marines. Operational tours of duty include Iraq and Northern Ireland. He is also the recipient of the AMTA’s Musical Theatre Award for 2012. He WILL teach you DISCIPLINE!
Stage Combat Tutor - London
Keith works as a professional fight choreographer and stage combat tutor. Alongside his work at AMTA he has taught at East 15 Acting School and Trinity Laban Conservatoire. Recent theatre credits include fight choreography for Enduring Song at the Southwark Playhouse and His Dark Materials for the Royal & Derngate. Film credits include the upcoming features We Are Tourists and Containment.

Luke trained as an actor-musician at Rose Bruford College. For ten years he worked as a performer where some of his credits included Brad Majors in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW - European Tour, Rolf in THE SOUND OF MUSIC – London Palladium, Dick in DEBBIE DOES DALLAS – E4 Udderbelly, Edinburgh, Lysander in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM - Open Air, Greenwich, and Lord Mountararat in the critically acclaimed all male production of IOLANTHE - Wilton’s Music Hall. Luke has moved into theatre directing / producing with his company Morphic Graffiti that he co-founded with Stewart Charlesworth. His directing and producing credits include JEKYLL AND HYDE (Union Theatre), THE REVENGE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES! (Hoxton Hall) (nominated for three Off West End Awards, including Best Musical Production), Rodgers & Hammerstein’s CAROUSEL (Arcola Theatre) (9 Broadwayworld.com nominations and 4 Off West End Awards). Other directing credits include BAT BOY: THE MUSICAL (Southwark Playhouse), Timberlake Wertenbaker’s ASH GIRL (Northbrook Theatre), A SERVANT TO TWO MASTERS (OnO Theatre – tour), as well as adapting and directing a promenade production of ALICE IN WONDERLAND for children. Luke has taught and directed with various stage schools and theatre companies, and regularly teaches acting technique and acting through song.

Alex Nordin began studying the art of musical theatre he was a child. He has been performing professionally since the age of 17 in the Florida theatre circuit. After graduating from Flagler College with a degree in public relations and advertising, he relocated to New York City and resumed his musical theatre career in the Big Apple. Alex has performed around the United States in productions of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW LIVE, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, WEST SIDE STORY, THE FANTASTIKS, FOOTLOOSE, and OKLAHOMA! He has danced at some of New York City’s most iconic theatres and jazz venues, sharing the stage with Tony, Grammy, Olivier and Emmy Award Winners. Alex has trained extensively in stylistic work, especially the Fosse Style, and has been seen in productions of CHICAGO around the U.S. Further performance credits include, THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS, SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS, HELLO, DOLLY! starring Sally Struthers, WHITE CHRISTMAS, CRAZY FOR YOU, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, and several roles in film and television. He also serves as an international dance tutor for the American Musical Theatre Academy of London. As an associate choreographer, Alex has worked on productions of WEST SIDE STORY, SHREK, SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL, and WHITE CHRISTMAS. His work bridges the worlds of theatre, dance, and fashion, as a featured dancers and creative consultant for HÈRMES OF PARIS for their United States live events.

Matthew Bonifacio's directorial debut, LBS, was an official selection of the 2004 Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for the Alfred P. Sloan Award. LBS, which was co-written and produced by Matthew, had a limited release in 2010 with the number one per-screen-average in the country its opening weekend. The film went on to play in seven cities, earned a ninety percent fresh rating by top critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and was selected by Bilge Ebiri as a New York Magazine Critics’ Pick. In 2011, LBS was nominated for the John Cassavetes Award at the Film Independent Spirit Awards. Matthew directed and produced his second feature film, AMEXICANO, which made its world premiere at the 2007 TribecaFilm Festival. The film had a limited theatrical release and was highly praised by critics from Variety, The New York Times, Village Voice, and New York Daily News. DELIVERING THE GOODS, his third feature film as director and producer, starred Thomas Ian Nicholas, Dominic Fumusa, Andrea Martin, Mike Starr, and Dominik Garcia-Lorido. The film was recently released on Amazon Prime. Matthew’s award-winning short films have screened at the Tribeca Film Festival (2006, 2011, 2012, 2013), Palm Springs International Shortfest, Aspen Shortsfest, Florida Film Festival, Williamstown Film Festival, Nantucket Film Festival, Maui Film Festival, Heartland Film Festival, Sarasota Film Festival, and many others. His recent shorts, MIGRAINE (featuring Nathan Lee Graham and Laverne Cox), and FORTUNE HOUSE (starring Michael Aronov), are distributed by Shorts International. Matthew has directed and produced commercials that have won a Telly Award and a Cine Golden Eagle Award. He won a Special Achievement Award for Direction at the Intercom/Chicago International Film Festival. THE QUITTER, Matthew’s fourth feature, marked his first film as an actor and director. THE QUITTER had an exclusive theatrical engagement at Regal Cinemas in Times Square, NYC, and received positive reviews in The New York Times, New York Daily News, The Huffington Post, Film Journal International and many others. THE QUITTER will be released worldwide across all platforms in 2015. As an actor, Matthew studied at The William Esper Studio with Maggie Flannigan. Garrett Taylor is a multifaceted performer and conductor. He has sung with symphonies in the US and in Europe, concerts at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Washington D.C.'s Constitution Hall, and at numerous recitals and cabarets in New York City. Mostly recently he was praised by the New York Times for his "bravura vocals" in Gateway Playhouse's production of CATS starring Ken Page. Garretts Broadway credits include, WICKED and ANNIE. His national tour credits include, IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS, GREASE, DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, SWEET CHARITY.
